Mann states: "Charles McLaughlin, a dark ginger- cake colored, negro, thirty-six years old, 5 feet 7' inches high, weighing Km pounds and having brown eyes and black hair, sehr on back of head, es caped this morning from railroad camp mar Wakefield. He was sentenced from Wake county July 7, 1!02, for a term of twenty years for house-breaking and larceny.
