That fellow Sullivan has a way of getting away with lots of games, but to look' at his pitching he seems to have nothing. The only plausible way to figure out his Buccess is to base it on his being a southpaw and he has a good change of pace. The reports from Goldsboro says that the features were the hitting of Burke and the fielding of Hill. That speaks well for Raleigh, Burke being ! the present short stop and Hill form erly occupied the same position. Dunn has been tried out twice, both times away from home, and has not showed up in great form either time. The players that know him say he Is a good pitcher and will do good work when he gets to going right. Be patient and give him another trial. ' Mate Bussey seems to deal out de- feats to either of the other two teams as well as to Raleigh. He is a good man and is greatly aiding the Sailors l" ' v 1 lne leasue race' . All Brandons seem to be good Pitchers. Red Sox Brandon is one of the great twirlers of this league. 1 I guess that fellow Stoehr, of An derson, S. C, team; wasn't pitching some yesterday.
