North Carolina Mutual and Provi dent Association, has passed into the editorship and ownership of W. S. Young, who has been its manager dnrinir the two years that It has run here. It came here from Littleton, where it was published as "The True Reformer." It has been consistently non-partisan and non-sectarian, real ly being much anti-Taft and anti Roosevelt In many of its utterances. As the organ of the colored people it has done well and is said to have the best subscription list of all secular negro papers in North Caro lina It is a very neat page typo graphically. The relatives ' and employees of Brodie L. Duke are expecting him home today but there .will he no brass band to meet him. The . marriage has created a great deal less excitement here than in New York and Washington, since Mr. Duke has tried so often to get married here that nobody paid any attention to him. Whether he failed or not mattered very little. It is expected that something will happen after the afTalr settles down to its normal state. ( Wants to Help Some One. For thirty years J. F. Boyer, of Fertile, Mo., needed help and could not find It. That's why he. wants to help some one now. Suffering so long himself he feels for all distress from Backache, Nervousness, Loss of Appetite, Lassitude and Kidney dis orders. . He shows that Electric Bit ters work wonders for such troubles. "Five bottles," he. writes, '"wholly cured me and now I am well and hearty." It's also positively guaran teed for Liver Troubles, Dyspepsia, Blood Disorders, Female Complaints and Malaria.
