RALbluti, u.H t t , To th Editor of The Union Jlerald: Whiie sittins last Sunday, in our CaDitol Square, with, the usual bunch of squirrel feeders, watching - the merry throng of joy-riders .with tneir honk-honk of. the1 automobiles mingling with the ring ' of " our numerous church bells , calling ns to worship, this idea came to me: - Why. not have our City Commis sioners purchase "four v . merry-go-rounds, each to" hold sixty people. Put two in the Capitol Square and one each in Moore and Nash squares. This - would provide, a joy-ride on Sunday or many of our working classes who Cannot afford a car. A small " charge per , ride to cover ex penses, could be required." We could put several Ford bodies on the ma chines; with bur hobby .horses, ze7 bras, etc., giving, the whole thing an automobile effect. ,t To make it more realistic, we could have a few. of our union brothers, namely, Snakenburg, Burruss, McMahon, , Benn, , and oth- ; Zri.I'r ro n nfided. attend the merrv-eo- mau .,Uu wuua, r6unds to bust nuffXbladders and an a?1i: paper . .bags 4 occasionally, , producing a punctured tire sound.
