We noticed this hall had been used by those fond of skating, and our Raleigh boys : showed oil" their skating propensities to advantage. At -7, r. m., the musicians took their place, and almost at one stroke of the vi olin a: sufiicient number wereon the floor to dance to anything they might choose to play. For one hour they danced and then supper was announced, but not the grand supper. Although if man , could not have satisfied his appetite at that table you might stamp him a "dyspeptic." v After supper we proceeded to the ball room brilliantly illuminated. Two by 'two the ladies entered, each one to find a partner waiting them, to dance the first set. Very soon after supper' dancing, com menced again and never ended till half past four in the morning', for we saw three voimg men dancing to themselves at that lAtohour.
