UNIVERSITY OF NORTH-CAROLINA rpHE annual Examination of the Students belonging to this Institution will commence on the 4th of July next, and the following persons constitute the Com mittee of Visitation, .whose dutv it is'to at- tend the examination and to report to the Board of Trustees the progress of the Stu- x j dents in the several Classes, viz : John Moore, David Stone, Nat. Alexander, William Gaston, Richard Bennehan, Benjamin Smith, Wm. Hawkins, Duncan Cameron. The inattention which has been too often shewn to the duties of the Committee of Vi sitation has produced no small injury to the interests of the University ; and when it is recollected of how much importance it is, that the persons appointed to attend the an nual Examination should fulfil the object of their appointment, the Board of Trustees flatter themselves that this consideration will insure the punctual attendance of the Members abovementioned. A general meeting of the Trustees will be held during the Examination, and it is hoped, that as many of them will attend as can make it convenient. GAVIN ALVES, Secretary.
