ty, as arbitrator, his good offices have
been farther invoked to assist in framing
such Convention or., Articles of Agree

provide the mode of aicertainihg and de-
terminlng the value of slaves and of other
private property, which may have beeii
carried aw?y in contravention cf the,Trea
ty of Ghent, and .for which . indemnifica
