THE LANDMARK, STATESVILLE, N. C, Is a 36-column newspaper, and is acknowledged to be one of the hand somest in the State. It is Democratic in its politics, but doesn't wear any collar. It has opinions and expresses them. Lays no claims to being the ablest paper in the State or the best in the South, but has the comfortable assurance that as a North Carolina' newspaper it is something of a success.
