Selma was the scene of a horrible tragedy Saturday night. John E. A cablegram ot this morning brings intelligence of the destruction of the Armenian village, Rapahie, by an earthquage. Nearly every house in theplace ia in ruins. Many of the inhabitants lost their lives. Brewery Burned. ' ( By telegraph to The Day. Cincinnati, O., May 27. The Banner brewery, one of the largest in the State, was burned to the ground this morning, 'entailing a loss of over one hundred thousand dollars. No Convention. By telegraph to The Day.
