Edwards just shipped twol solid carloads of tobacco flues to South Carolina. The accident to the boiler could not be repaired in time, and Oxford was without electric lights last night. The tree, from which a limb fell yesterday in dangerous proximity to a pedestrian's head, has been cut down. The installation of officers of Ox ford lxxlge, No. 103, I. O. O. F., did not take place last night, and was postponed to next week. . Messrs. 1 nomas is: Mozart, grocers on College street, have concluded to discontinue business, and have about closed out their entire stock of goods. The secretary of the Oxford Land, Improvement and Manufacturing Co. reports good steady sales of stock. Gratifying progress is being made to wards getting valuable manufacturing enterprises located on the company s property. Beginning yesterday the passenger train on the Oxford & Henderson road makes three trips every day, in eluding Sunday, as follows ; Leave Oxford 5: 45, a. ni., u, a. m; and 7:40, p. m. Arrive at Oxford 10, a. m.f 3:15, p. m.t and 4:35, p. ni. The Richmond & Danville road is a now running a special air-ureas freight car, attached to regular pasen- ger train, between - west roint, ux- ford and Henderson, and between West Point, Durham and Raleigh, Freight leaving Oxford at 10:46 in the morning reaches Baltimore at eight the next morning, and freight leaving Bal timore on the evening boat arrives here the following afternoon.
