We learn that a special tax of about eleven hundred dollars is to be levied on the town of Henderson for.the payment of damages to Mr. Reavis of this place through whose lots a street sixty feet,wide was cut. It is j said the people of Henderson j)ropose ; to resist the collection of the tax. I “.Black tongue” is a terrible dis ease, which is slaying the cattle in some parts of the. west. If it were fatal to human cattk, there would speedily be lots of first-cla.ss funerals all over the country. You are right, Mr. Donan, and there would be sev eral in this town before to-morrow night.
