Harvard University. He then went
back to Wake Forest and continued
bis law course and in 1908 received
his license to practice law. Mr. Par
ham began his work at the bar at
Thomasville, N. C, where he re
mained until January, 1915, when he
came to Oxford and since that time
be has been engaged in the law prac
tice here. While at Thomasville he
represented Davdison county in the
North Carolina Legislature for one
term. Since coming to Oxford Mr.
Parham has been one of its livest cit
izens, always wide awake to every
thing that tends to the growth and
progress of the town. Especially has
he manifested this characteristic in
conection with the work of the Gran
ville Commercial Club. He is now
serving as secretary of that live or
ganization. He is also chairman of
the county Democratic Board of Elections.
Lots of us are congenial, not be

because we hate the same people.
SAME MANAGMENT FOR
SIXTEEN SUCCESSFUL YEARS
Oxford Roller Mills a Small Enter
prize Then, But Important Now.
Sixteen successful years of oper
ation under the same management is
the enviable reputation of the Ox
ford Roller Mills. At the time when
Mr, W. A. Parham bought the mill
16 years ago it was only a small corn
grinding mill of very small capacity.
Four years later Mr. Parham en
larged the mill adding the roller.
Since which time the mill has been
steadily growing in patrons and the
amount of business done, until now
it is a very important enterprise. '
The mill regularly employs three
men and in real busy seasons its
force is increased to six. The mill
when going at full capacity can put
out sixty barrells of flour and twenty
five barrells of meal per day. The
mill has recently been overhauled
and everything put in the x best of
shape for a large business this fall.
Mr. A. M. Averett, the miller is
one of the best in the land. He
knows his business thoroughly and
you will always get a first grade pro
duct at the mill.
We predict that the Oxford Roller
Mills will in the near future be a
very large affair, with a double and
trible capacity to meet the demand
caused by an increase in the acreage
to be planted in Granville in wheat
and corn.

THE OLD RELIABLE
HARNESS MAN.
Fifteen Years in the Business With
Hundreds of Satisfied Customers
If there is a business in Oxford
better known in Granville than that
established long ago by Mr. Pete
Bullock we would like to know who
and what it is.
Many are the sets of Harness that
he has made for the Mauds of Gran
ville. Many are the wagons and
buggies, too, that he has sold to carry
the family to meeting on Sunday. No
one business in Oxford, possibly, has
any more substantial lines of regular
customers. Pete has an established
reputation for nothing but "a square
deal" for everyone and he lives up
to it, too.
Pete says when you come to town
drop in to see him and make his
place your headquarters. He han
dles the well known Studebaker and
Nissen Wagons.
