Senator Simmons, Chairman of the Democratic State Committee, is quoted as saying that he expects soon to Issue the call of a meeting of the committee, probably the last of February, to fix the time and place for the State Convention. It is un derstood that the convention will go to Greensboro again, and if it fol lows the usual custom In Democratic campaign years, it will meet the lat ter part of May.
