03iTO..LEayT;jTO.mAV;1irAvg 1921 PS THE EIGHT AGES OF WOMEN A clever woman has arranged a series of tables to show the life of the average woman. Boiled down, she thinks it's something like this: ; Babyhood to "15 Childhood 15 to 18 Carefree time; frivolity and beaux; 11 in every 100 marry be- ( tween these ages. : 18 to 24 Beginning to work, eith er for self-support, pin money or a career; 30 of every 100 are wage? earners and 51 in every 100 marry between these ages. 24 to 35 Life in earnest, with 19 jn every 100 at Avork and 79 married. 35 io 45 Only 15 of the 100 work-' in? (away from home!) while 83 are keeping house, bearing children and raising them. 45 to 55 Fourteen of the 100 still at work, the rest in the homes or de pendent. 55 to 65 Thirteen, at work, earn ing very small wages, 21 are ; widow ed. v ' 65 and later Forty-two out of every 100 are dead; 50 are widows and 14 (including some of the wi dows) are working for negligible wages. The lesson she draws, girls, is to plan things in the springtime of life so that when fall comes there will be fuel to keep the home fires burning! An engineer and fireman on a transcontinental train left 'their en gine recently to rescue from a burn ing farmhouse near Cochrane, On tario, an invalid mother and her son. The boy jumped from the second story into their arms. rv . 4. 6 3,1 illlllllilllll IliliiifllT'lP! E. Ellis, well- known live-stock dealer, . livin Rumsey, Ky. "My mother is now sixty-eight years old and for eight years had suf fered from loss of appetite, nervous ness, constant headaches, severe pains in the chest , and back and frequent spells of dizziness. She be came so bad off about five years ago that she had to give up all house work and spent most of her time in bed. During all that time she neith er knew what it was to have a well day or a night's rest, and her condi tion became so alarming that we never expected to see .her up and a bout again. "One day she read in the papers about someone who had been greatly helped by Tanlac, and nothing would satisfy her until she had tried it her self. So I drove 35 miles to Evans ville and got her a bottle. She's had -four more bottles since then and she has actually gained seventeen pounds in weight, and its years since I saw her looking so well. She praises Tanlac all day long, and her remark-. able recovery has made such a stir around Rumsey that scores of other si"1;: people have been taking Tanlac with splendid results. I make a trip to Evansville every week and always carry back a load of Tanlac-- for the neighbors- We all. think there is no medicine like it, and I'm glad of this chance of telling everybody about what it did for my mother."
