still in Salem township last Friday
The kettle was fashioned out of
boards about three feet long and one
foot wide- The corners were fasten
ed with screws, and across the io

been in use for a long time', but the
, wooden ends and sides of the kettle

The Woman's Auxiliary, of the Pres
byterian Church gave a lovely recep
tion on Monday night in honor of
Miss Ellen Graham a returned mis
sionary from Korea, and the members
of the Graded School Faculty and the
Orphanage Faculty who are affiliated
with the Presbyterian Church. The
Sunday School rooms were attractive
ly decorated with pink and white
roses and other cut flowers. The
punch bowl was presided over bv
Miss Marie Stark and Helen Clement
where elegant 'fruit punch and cake
were served. The receiving line con
sisted of Rev. and Mrs- S..R. Oglesby,
Jr., Mrs. Sails, Misses Fan McKinnon,
Ella Clement, Mary K. Webb, Mabel
Fate, Bemis, Lasley, Allen, Maggie
and Annie Morton, Bessent, Lyenly,
and Mrs. Jollsy. Miss Graham gave
an informal talk on her work in Ko
rea and' several attractive selections
were given by children from the Or
