SAMUEL DAVIS, Clarks ville, Va. CORNS Lift Off with Fingers Talk and Practice. (Statesville Landmark) Wholesale grocers, in annual meeting at Greensboro, discussed business ethics and the application of the golden rule to buslnees. It is natural to say the rule is the proper standard of all business conduct, but too often the talk and practice are wide apart. It is encouraging to note, however, the discussion of the subject in a meeting of business men. Belief- in the rule which is nothing more than common fairness and justice constantly expressed may lead to general practice. That is not impossible, even If it Is not so probable.
