Frances Whitf ietd, Geo. V. Dickerson Take Wedding Vow The wedding of Mrs. Frances Barker Whitfieid and George V. Dickerson took ptace on Friday, Dec. 17, at the home of the officiat ing minister, Rev. Gary J. Sheiton, on Coieman Street. The couple approached the im provised aitar together and ex changed their wedding vows. The marriage foiiowed a Christmas party at the Woman's Club given [or the personnel of the Union Na iom.i Bank. For her wedding, the bride wore r tight biue suit with navy accesso ries and a corsage of yeliow roses. The bride is the daughter of N. V. Barker and the iate Mrs. Barker. For the past four years she has reen a member of the personnel of Union National Bank. The bride H'oom is the son of Mrs. John Tf Dickerson and the late Mr. Dick erson. Mr and Mrs. Dickerson are making their home at an apart ment on Raleigh Road. . Dial MM when you have news. Mrs. Critcher And N.V. Barker Marry Mrs. Lallie Critcher of Durham, and N. V. Previously, members had drawn names but instead of ex changing presents, they gave,wish es on the assumption of having a miiiion doiiars to bestow upon the recipient, and with clever ideas set to rhyme or veil selected prose, the expressions were most enthusias tically received. /N Pians were made to give Christ mas cheer to a needy ifamiiy of nine by providing ciothes. provisions for a deiicious Christmas dinner, and a present especiaiiy selected and wrapped for each member of the famity. The members were invited into the dining room where dainty re freshments consisting^ of cheese biscuits, cakes and Russian tea were served attractively.
