I ' ?AmencojiHed Cross Nen Red Cross Christmas Roll Call of The American Red Cross To bring many more thousand Americans nearer the heart of this great work that every man, woman and child may stand responsible with this great American organization for the safety and protection of the men of our expeditionary force and for the safety of human life everywhere WORKERS WANTED FOR THIS ROLL CALL An appeal is made to the members of the Red Cross in Rowan to volunteer for the week, to lay this vital matter before all our citizens old and young, white and black, that all may have part in the glorious finish. BRANCH CHAPTERS FURNISHING WORKERS Branch chapters are appealed to to furnish the county chairman a list of three, earnest, energetic mem bers, who will organize their community and work this week. Ttye Red Cross has been a God-send to the army, to the civilized world, what better climax to the fight, to the fighting year, than to rally to it and see that the moral support needed is at hand. Send to the County Chairman or to Miss Anne Neave, Secretary, Salisbury, the names of three workers who will lead this roll call in your community. Do this now. The National Tuberculosis Association, which has conducted an annual sale of the Red Cross Christmas Seals for many years past has determined to abandon the Christmas Seal Campaign for this year and to unite in the Red Cross Christmas Roll Call. To insure support of this work, the War Council of the Red Cross has appropriated $2,500,000 for Tuber culosis work in 1919. Ten seals will be awarded those joining during the Red Cross Christmas Roll CalL The State Branches of the National Tuberculosis Association have offered to turn over to our various Roll Call Chairmen the entire working organization formerly used in the Christmas Seal Campaign. Let's double the membership in Rowan; let's make two members grow where one grew before; let's rally to the Red Cross this glad closing of the war season and show our appreciation of what it has done and double the Rowan membership. To this end the county chair man calls on every Red Cross member to come forward and volunteer for service. Especially do we want the organization that last year sold Red Cross Christmas seals, for this great work is being taken care of by the Red Cross. Yours for a doubled roll of ten thousand members in Rowan. SOUTHERN DIVISION ATLANTA, GA. ROLL CALL WEEK DEC. 16-23 County Chairman, Christmas Roll Call American Red Cross.
