The erection of a $20,000 Y; M C. A., building at Spencer is now completed and, unless all present p'ans are changed, such a building will be constructed within the nex year. ' Mr. II. O. Williams, Interna tional Secretary - of the Riilroad Branch'of the Y. M. C. A., was at Spencer yesterday and conferred with the local managers. The field was thoroughly gone over and it was decided that expediency would demand the construction of a building which 'would meet the requirements of the fast growing association at Spencer. BASEBALL ASSOCIATION The Spencer Baaball Association Was Organized Last Bight . The Spencer Baseball Associa tion had an important meeting last night and determined upon plans that will be the means of bringing many good games there this year. It was decided to spend a consid erable amount of money in enclos ing the present park and arranging a convenient grand stand. The officers of the association elected were as follows: A. Happy Family. Mr. W. H. Huff has what is probably the most unique show window arrangement ever seen in Sili&bury. Mingling in perfect harmony in the window are dogs, while rabbits, brown rabbits and guinea pigs. There is not a note of discord in this aggregation, the dog and rabbits playing like kit-1 tens. All the pets belong to Mr. Huff's sons. Episcopal Sunday School to Have an Egg Hunt. The children of the Sunday school of St. Luke's Episcopal j church will have an egsr hunt on the churph yard lawn Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock. A Ball Game Friday. A game of baseball will be play ed at Livingstone College tomor row afternoon the Livingstone and Bennett teams contesting the sec- oad of a series of games. Mr. Julian's Funeral. The funeral of Mr. William H. Julian was postponed from 10 o'clock, this morning to 3 o'clock this afternoon. The services were under the auspices of the Royal Arcanum. -Harried Yesterday.
