DREAM
What is this dream I have, between
sleeping and waking??
This dream of waking the English
moors in the twilight?
I who have never stepped a foot
upon England,
Walking the purple moors in the i
windy twilight.
What is this dream I have between
sleeping and waking??
Of walking a road alone, and coming
from darkness
Into the .ight of a camp; the firelight
cn evil faces?
Strangeness and fear, then diving
rgsin into darkness?
What i? this dream ;ailed li;e, between
s'eeping and Sleeping'5
This coromg from darkness to
light 1 cn-being to being /
Life is a gipsy camp ... a light
upon evil faces. . . .
Death is aaxkness again, and vvindy
moors i)i the twilight.
