Mr. Daniel Prichard Spell were
united in marriage, Thursday, July
15, at 11 o'clock a. m-, Raleigh, N. C.
Mrs. Spell is the attractive daughter
of Mrs. Katherine Miller and
the late Rev. H. Reid Miller, and
holds a responsible position with the
Post Office force in Littleton. MrSpell
is now located in Raleigh,
heretofore being manager of a de
parunent store here. The couple
spent several days at Carolina
Beach and other points South.

The Lions Club held its regular
meeting last Thursday night, July |

of ladies who are endeavoring
to raise funds for a building to
be used for a curb market in Roanoke
Rapids.
Lion Justis reported several cases
of pellagra under his care in dire
need of fruit juices, etc. A committee

this matter, with instructions to ascertain
from Lion Palmer the need
of such cases under his care. This
committee will report at its next
meeting, and doubtless, sufficient
funds will be made available. The

The annual re-union of the Bobbitt-Sledge-Rosser
