Ed Rooker, Jr., form Mayor of Warrenton and fc mer textile mill executive, h accepted a position as Tov Clerk of the Town of Warre ton. Rooker for many years w manager of Peck Mannfacti ing Company before his i tirement a few years ago di to ill health. He has long be< active in the Baptist Chun and is a 32 degree Mason, at Past Potentate of Sudan Tel ale Order of the Shrine. Dallas Bolton, an employe of the Peck Manufacturii Company, was employed as i sistant in the Water Depui merit. He will begin work < June 19. Rooker's appoinlme is effective July 1. but he w requested by the commissio ers to come to the water off! on June 5 to begin to familit ire himself with the work. The appointment of Rook and Bolton came as the resn of the resignation of Clint' Neal as Town Clerk and assit ant in the Water Departmer effective July X. Neal will a cept a position with the Wa ren County Department of Ed cation. Following notice i Neal's resignation, the commi sioners decided that it wou! be better to hire a full-tin employees for each position. I Discussion of more suitable quarters for ASC personnel and offices has been under | discussion for several months, with the principal idea that it j would be best if the ASC office was housed in the same building with the Extension Department and a number of federal Agencies.
