Miss Edwina Rooker of Pine hurst and Mrs. Robert Elkins were visitors in Durham on Friday. Mr. Walter S. Stoney, Jr., rec tor officiating in a double ring ceremony uniting Miss Ann Elizabeth JJardin, daughter of; Drr and Mrs. Robert Malcolm Bardin of Durham, and Donald Richard Campbell, son of Mrs. Samuel Black of Norfolk, Va. Music was rendered by Mrs. j S. H. Massey, Jr., organist, and Mrs. Cleveland J. Bradner. : cousin of the bride, of Green ville, soloist, who sang, "OI Perfect Love" and "The Lord's Prayer." The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attended by her sister, Miss Susan Bristol Bardin, of Durham. The Elizabeth; Williams Burkette Memorial | Park, dedicated today, is in a wooded lakeside setting. Stepping stones lead up the j knoll to the sundial and on to; | the top of the knoll where the | visitors have a view of Lake | Kilby. Two benches are near j the center of the area. The plants around the sun-, dial circle are grey and green lavendar. Other plants in the park arc ilex, azaleas, camel-: lias and pyracantha. The park facilities were given by Mrs., Burkette's husband, O. L. Btirk-ji ctte. Arrangements and plan.'-, ing were handled by the Lake , Kilby Garden Club, of which she was a member.
