Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of silk peu-de-soie and alen con lace designed with a por trait neckline, bracelet length sleeves and a bouffant skirt ending in a cathedral train. Her headpiece was a veil of French illusion at tached to a crown of seed pearls. She carried a cas cade of orchids and stephf notis. Mrs. Donald L. Bennett of Greenville was matron of honor. She wore a dress of blue velveteen with matching accessories. She carried a semi-cascade of bettertime roses. , Miss Jane Cameron Farrar of Norlina, cousin of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. She wore a dress similar to that of the honor attendant and carried a miniature semi cascade of roses. Flowers girls, all cousins of the bride, were Miss Eliza beth Ann Goodrich and Miss Barbara Fay Goodrich of Glen Burnie, Md., and Miss Ann Haywood Farrar of Nor lina. They wore blue vel veteen dresses and carried baskets of rose petals with nosegays of roses attached. Mr. Foutz served his son as best man. For a wedding trip to western North Carolina, the bride wore a white wool suit with blue accessories. Her orchid corsage was lifted from her bridal bouquet. The bride attended Peace College and is employed by the Citizens Bank in Warren ton. The bridegroom hold* a degree from Rutgers Univer sity in New Brunswick, N. J., where he was a member oi Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and of the varsity crew team. He is a textile management trainee with Campus Sports wear Company in Warrenton where the couple will make their homo. Connell, and Mrs. A. B. Bass, great-aunts of the bride, en tertained at the Robinson home on Friday evening for the wedding party and guests. Guests were greeted by Miss Pannie Robinson and Mrs. A. B. Bass. Others as sisting in receiving through out the home were Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Fleming, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Connell and Miss Adah Bass. The bride-elect received a corsage of white mums and a gift of silver. Bridal flowers and magnolia leaves were used throughout the room. The bride's table bore a mixed bridal arrangement, flanked by burning tapers In old silver candelabra. The auxiliary tables bore similar floral arrangements. Turkey Dinner Honoring Miss Betty Read and Mr. Jack Foutz, bride and groom-elect of Saturday, November 17. the Citizens Bank entertained at a three course turkey dinnerserved buffet style, on Thursday night at the Warrenton Coun try Club. The honored couple receiv ed a silver pitcher and crys tal compotes in their chosen pattern. WALTER JACKSON HARRIS Anne Ayscue Weds At Methodist Church In a double ring ceremony conducted on Sunday after noon, November 18, at four o'clock in Wesley Memorial Methodist Church in Warren ton, Miss Alice Anne Ayscue, daughter of Mrs. Roy Lee Ayscue, Sr., of Warrenton and Mr. Ayscue of Dumph ries. Va., became the bride of Walter Jackson Harris, son of Mrs. Charles Anthony Harris of Macon and the late Mr. Harris. The Rev. Troy Barrett, pas tor, performed the rites be fore a setting of white bridal flowers, emerald fern stands and seven-branched candela bra, holding white cathedral tapers. Music was rendered by Mrs. J. C. Burwell, organ ist, and Mrs. Selby Benton, soloist, who sang "Entreat Me Not to Leave Thee," and the Methodist Choir offered "O Promise Me." The Rev. Milton Mann, pastor of the Macon Methodist Church, sang "The Lord's Prayer" as the benediction. Given in marriage by her brother, Roy Lee Ayscue, Jr, the bride wore a dress of Chantilly lace combined with nylon tulle and designed with a sabrina neckline accented with iridescent sequins, and a basque bodice. The long tapering sleeves ended in points over the wrists, and the voluminous skirt featured garlands of lace re-embroider ed in iridescents over a cas cade of tulle ruffles. Her double crown of seed pearls was accented by sequins and attached to a fingertip veil of silk illusion. She carried a prayer book with a white handkerchief be longing to her grandmother, Mrs. J. B. Pritchard, topped with a bouquet of white or chids with long streamers en twined with baby's breath. Mrs. Cecil Devada Brown of Henderson was her sister's matron of honor. Her street length dress was of turquoise taffeta with crushed satin cummerbund over a bell skirt. She wore a headband of satin with matching acces sories and carried a bouquet of bronze, gold and pale yel low pompoms with autumn i rainbow streamers. Gordon Wallace Poindexter | served as best man and ush-1 ers were Samuel Willoughby i Harris and Carroll Erskine | Harris, brothers of the bride- j groom, Ralph Young Ayscue, 1 uncle of the bride, Cecil De vada Brown, brother-in-law of the bride, Julian Jackson Smith and Alvin Lewis Reid, Jr. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Ayscue chose a teal blue sillc crepe dress with match ing accessories and a corsage of bronze cimbidium orchids. Mrs. Harris was gowned in beige wool with matching ac cessories and an orchid cor sage. After receiving guests in! the vestibule of the church.' the couple left for a wedding trip to unannounced points. For traveling Mrs. Harris changed to a baby blue tweed suit with matching acces sories and the orchid lifted from her bridal bouquet. Cake-Cutting On Saturday, November 17, at nine o'clock in the Fire side Room of Wesley Mem orial Methodist Church, Miss Alice Anne Ayscue and Mr. Walter Jackson Harris were entertained at a cake-cutting. The room was beautifully decorated with three-branch ed candelabra centering the table with small bouquets of baby's breath and running fern. The mantle bore burn ing tapers and magnolia leaves, with sprinklings of mums. A green and white motif was used throughout. After the couple had cut the first slice of the three-tiered wedding cake, Mrs. Ayscue mother of the bride, Mrs. Harris, mother of the bride groom, and Mrs. William Floyd and Mrs. Lewis New RIDGEWAY NEWS Mr. and Mrs William Sal ter arid Mill Martha Salter have returned to their home In Owing Mill, Md., after spending sometime in their recently purchased home in Ridgeway.
