The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation
IS an agency of the U. S. Department of Agriculture. Its objective
is to provide protection not available through commercial compan
ies, at low cost to farmers against crop losses resulting from un
avoidable loss of tobacco and cotton production due to insects, dis-.
ease, drought, excessive rain, flood, hail, wind, frost, freeze, cool
weather, fire, lightning, snow, hurricane, tornado and any other un-'
avoidable loss due to adverse weather conditions.
Crop Insurance protection will be offered in nearly
1,100 counties throughout the United States in 1963,
on Twenty different crops. Partial Crop Loss Justifies A Claim
