Randolph-Macon College, Ash

member of Kappa Alpha Order.
Mr. Sands is a grandson of
Mrs. Richard Whitney and the
late Samuel Stevens Sands, of
Far Hills, New Jersey, and
Mrs. William Page Dame and
the late Dr. Dame of Baltimore.
Upon their return from a
wedding trip to Bermuda they
will be in New York for the
summer. In September, Mr. and
Mrs. Sands will be at home In
Ashland, Virginia.

marriage.
The bride Is the daughter of
Mrs. Catherine H. Medlln of

Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a full
length gown of bridal satin with
a detachable train attached by
bows of Chantilly lace. The
square neckline of the gown and
the long sleeves were of Chan
tilly lace. Her full-length veil
of Illusion was attached to the
headpiece, an eight-point crown
accented with rhlnestones. She
carried a white prayer book
topped with a white orchid and
sprays of baby's breath.

maid of honor. She wore a
floor-length gown of mint green
brocade taffeta with an over
skirt and a matching headpiece
of green roses. She carried a
nosegay of yellow pom-poms.

The bride-elect was given

worn to the rehearsal and the
cake cutting.
A decor of green and white
consisting of magnolia, mag
nolia blossoms and white tapers
were used throughout the club.
The table was decorated with
a white cloth and a floral ar
rangement of white bridal flow
ers In a silver bowl flanked by
white tapers in silver candela
brum.
Arttir^-tier bridal cake top
ped with a miniature bride and
groom, along with nuts, mints,
cheese straws and lime punch
were served to approximately
85 guests attending.
Mrs. Roy Harmon, aunt of the
bride, served the bridal cake.
