Fuller Is at tending a stair school food ser vice workshop at the University of North Carolina at Greens boro this week. Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Mrs. Fred Seale of Chappell Hill, Texas, and daughter, Miss Sarah Glenn Seale of Hous ton, Texas, are visiting Mrs. Leiia Delbridge and Miss Helen Delbridge. Bridge Club Meets With Mrs. Wimbrow Mrs- Katnerme Wimbrow was hostess to the Norlina Bridge Club at her home on North Street last Thursday night. The club welcomed Mrs. Helen Read as a new-member. High score priz'e was pre sented to Mrs. Polly Clark; second high to Mrs. Mamie Thaxton, and the bingo to Mrs. Wimbrow. The hostess served a de licious salad plate and a fruit drink. ATTEND REI NION Among those attending the Knight family reunion at the Hollister Community House last Sunday were Mrs. Lelia Del bridge and Miss Helen Del bridge and their guests, Mrs. Fred Seale of Chappell Hill, Texas, and Miss Sara Glenn Seale of Houston, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wiggins and guests, Mr. and Mrs. John Davis of Durham, Mayor Leon Knight, Mrs. Ruth Knight, Mr. and Mrs. James Knight and Prayer Groups Hold Heelings On Monday Mrs. Wallace Stallings wa; hostess to members ot the Annie Armstrong Mission Pray el Group of the Norllna Baptist Church at her home on Monday evening with seven attending. Mrs. Leon Pridgen, group lead er, gave the devotional. An interesting program, from The Royal Service Maga zine, was given by Mrs. Mar garet Felts. Mrs. Fred Mulchi and Mrs. Milton Pullen were appointed to serve as a nominating com mittee. The meeting was closed with a meditation, after which re freshments were served by the hostess. The Lola-Sue Mission Pray er Group met at the home ol Mrs. J. W. Arnold on Monday afternoon. Mrs. Arnold, group leader, opened the meeting with the call to prayer. During the business session, Mrs. A. S. Wyckoff was appoint ed to serve on the WMU nominating committee; Mrs. D. R. Moore to remember the appointed Service Man for the month of July; and Mrs. J. C. Pridgen to have charge meeting. The program for the after noon consisted of readings; "Prayer Request," by Mrs. Wyckoff; "Crusade of the Americans," by Mrs. Alice Stultz; "We Tithe Now," by Mrs. Pridgen and the closing prayer by Mrs. Myrtle Flem ing. family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gupton and children, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Knight and family and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Knight of Norlina ATTEND WEDDING Among those attending the Radford-Disher wedding and reception in Winston-Salem on July 19 wgre Mrs. Dolly Tucker of Norlina, Mr. and Mrs. Thom as Myrtck of Petersburg, Va, Mrs. Elizabeth Leonard of Cas talia, Mrs. Henry Radford, Mrs. Nora Gupton and Mrs. Ruth Wester of Wood, Mrs. W. H. Leonard, Miss Kaye Gupton, Miss Annie Ruth Wood, Mrs. Sonny Slater, Mrs. Robert P. Leonard, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Carter and Lyn and Joy of Rocky Mount. Mr. Radford is the nephew of Mrs. Tucker. The sphinx, carved by the Egyptians, is probably the most ancient example of independent sculpture. Family Reunion Held Al Kerr Lake Sunday The Fleming and Stallings reunion was held at Satterwhlte Point on Kerr Lake on Sunday, July 27, with approximately 100 persons attending. Present were four generations and 16 children of Mrs. Myrtle Flem ing. Persons attended from Hen derson, Wise, Norlina, Chest er, Va., Richmond, Va., Colonial Heights, Va., Prince George, Va., Williamsburg, Va., Fairfax, Va., Petersburg, Va., Warrenton, Cary and Gas tonla. A bountiful lunch was ser ved at 12:30. The blessing was said by Wallace Stallings of Norlina. The oldest person present was Mrs. Sallie Bet Abbot, 82, of Williamsburg, Va. The | youngest was Angelia Marie I Spence, 3 - months - old uaugh 1 ter of Mr. and Mrs.William J. Spence of Norlina. Traveling the greatest distance to attend the reunion were Miss Arlene l Stallings and Mr. Bill Bay of I Baltimore, Md. Having the I largest number of children pre I sent was Sol Fleming, Jr., of ] Prince George, Va. There have been three births and two marriages since the last reunion. Zion 4-H Club Holds Annual Picnic On Lake The Zion 4-H Club held its annual picnic on Monday, July 14 at Kimball's Point on Kerr Lake. Swimming and games were enjoyed by those attend ing. The evening of fun and fellowship was climaxed by a picnic supper enjoyed by all. In giving a delayed report of the event this week, Gill Rich ardson, reporter for the club, added these words of apprecia tion to this newspaper: "Thank you for putting all the material the Zion 4-H Club has put into The Warren Rec ord. We really do appreciate the wonderful work The Warren Record does for this county." Mrs. Jones Hostess To Her Bridge Club LITTLETON - Mrs. W. C. Jones, jr., entertained her bridge club Thursday night In her home on Mosby Avenue with two tables set up for play. Ar rangements of gladioli were used for decorations. Mrs. William Leach was high score prize winner, Mrs. Ma con Moore, Jr., won second high and Mrs. Ferdle Moore won low score prize. Others playing were Mrs. J. N. Moseley, Mrs. Churchill Brown, Miss Anna Wollett and Mrs. Roger Moore. Cantaloupe a la mode was served. WSCS TO MEET The Zton Woman's Society of Christian Service will hold Its next meeting on Monday night, Aug. 4, at 8 o'clock at the home of Mrs. J. F. White. Mrs. M. F.
