Montclair, N.J; two brothers,
W. Melrose Thornton of
Dayton, Ohio and Burnis H.
Thornton of Durham and three
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
at the Warrenton Baptist
Church on Saturday at 2 p. m.
with burial in the Warrenton
Cemetery. Her nephew, Wadsworth
Thornton, undertaker in
Norfolk, Va„ is in charge of
arrangements. The family will
meet friends at Harris-Turner
Funeral Home on Friday night
from 7 to 9 p. m.
MRS. MAGGIE RODWELL
Mrs. Maggie Alston Rodwell,
67, a resident of 509 W.
Franklin Street in Warrenton,
died Sunday in Duke Medical
Center where she had been a
patient following a lengthy
illness.
She was the daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Ned Will and
Hannah Allen Alston and the
wife of the late James Rodwell.
Mrs. Rodwell is survived by
one nephew, Alphonza Jones of
Nfewark, N. J.; and one aunt,
Mrs. Jessie Baskett of Warren
County.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday at 2 p. m. at
Greenwood Baptist Church in
Warren County, with Rev. C. L.
Faison in charge of the
services. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
MRS. DIANE DAVIS
. Funeral services for Mrs.
Diane Davis, 35, were conducted
at 3 p. m. Sunday from
Young Memorial Holiness
Church by the Rev. J. J.
Pickard. Burial was in the
church cemetery.
Mrs. Davis, whose husband,
Glentin Davis, resided at
Warrenton, died at Maria
Parham Hospital in Henderson
on Wednesday of last week.
She was the daughter of Mrs.
Dorothy Wilkins and the late
Jessie L. Wilkins of Henderson.
Survivors in addition to her
husband and her mother
included four daughters, Mrs.'
Carolyn J. Perry, Miss Theresa
Wilkins, Miss Marion Wilkins
and Miss Pamela Wilkins, all of
Henderson; three sons, Milton
Wilkins, Clarence Wilkins and
Carlton Wilkins, all of the
home; three grandchildren, and
her maternal grandmother,
Mrs. Estelle Turner, also of
Henderson.
Active pallbearers were
Johnny Boone, Lero Williamson,
Jimmy Wimbush, Albert
Hart, Mark Taylor and James
Richardson.

WASHINGTON, N. C.-Funeral
services for Lewis E.
Andreoli, 67, a retired construction
worker, who died Friday,
were conducted at 2 p. m.,
Monday, from Chocowinity
Baptist Church. Burial was in
Oakdale Cemetery.
Mr. Andreoli is survived by
his widow, Mrs. Dorothy E.
Andreoli; three daughters,
Mrs. Helen Ryder of Fayetteville,
Mrs. Mary Gogeun of
Dothan, Ala., and Mrs. Faye
Massengill of Colorado Springs,
Colo.; two stepdaughters, Mrs.
Jo. Marie Lynch of Norlina and
Mrs. Lola Fornes of New Bern;
four brothers, Alfonso of Pinetown,
Dominic, Jr., of Newport
News, Va., Ettore and Geno
Andreoli of Washington, N. C.;
and 13 grandchildren.
JESSE A. HARRIS
Jesse Alfred Harris, 76, of
Route 1, Norlina, died at his
home Saturday morning following
a lengthy illness.
A Warren County native, he
was the son of the late John
Harris and Mrs. Rosa Evans
Harris and was born June 21,
1900. He was a retired chauffeur
for the president of the Export
Leaf Tobacco Company.
Funeral services were conducts
Tuesday afternoon at
Snow Hill Baptist Church by
the Rev. E. L. Brodie assisted
by the Rev. J. B. Wilson. Burial
with Masonic Lodge ceremony
was in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Edna W. Harris, and son,
Daniel Jackson, both of the
home; three sisters, Mrs. Ella
L. Denkins of Long Island, N.
Y., Mrs. Susie Indiancorn and
Miss Julia Harris, both of
Warrenton, and One brother,
Anthony Harris of New York
City.
