H. Lawler, the bridegroom's maternal grandfather. The Rev. Rob» ert Hunt performed the Episcopal ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Olivia Burton was her sister's maid of honor. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Following the wedding ceremony the bride's parents greeted friends and relatives during a reception in club rooms of Cle Cha home overlooking the river. The bride is the daughter Pittman. Van Kearney Davis, III, of Dallas, Tex., grandson of Mrs. Critchton Davis, graduated with honors from the Naval Academy at Annapolis on June 8. Claude Pepper conducted the four o'clock ceremony. Musicians were Mrs. Nellie Gardner, Jim Davis and Gary Andrews, all of Warrenton. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Keith of Wake Forest. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Miss Lettie Caroline Shearin, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Other attendants were Cindy Connell, Julia Meade Cover, Frances Daniel, Laura Shearin, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Alma Wall, sister of the groom. The bridegroom's father was best man. Parties Miss Cheryl Shearin was given a miscellaneous shower by some of her friends at Meredith College in the Alumni House. She received many lovely and useful gifts. Each of the 25 guests brought a recipe for the honoree. Miss Shearin was honored by the women of the Warrenton Presbyterian Church with a surprise miscellaneous shower on May 19, following the annual choir dinner given by the women of the church. Refreshments were served to complete the evening of fun. Mrs. Emily Johnson and Miss Sharon Johnson honored Miss Shearin with a lingerie shower in their home on May 21. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Paul A. Layton. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Waddell of Mt. Airy. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Malvin H. The church was decorated with an arched brass candelabra with lighted tapers in the center cI the altar with a standing basket of white glads, white daisies and snowflake pompons with gypsophilia on each side. The three-tiered wedding cake was decorated with roses and a wedding bell ornament. It was served with punch, nuts, mints, cheese wafers, Swedish meatballs and open-faced sandwiches.
