White and her mother, Mrs. Charles White, spent Monday in Greensboro for orientation at U.N.C.G. where Mary will be a student this fall. Miss Alice White is at a Presbyterian camp where she will spend 12 days backpacking to Mount Mitchell. Master Floyd Farmer has returned to his home in Wendell after spending a week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Farmer. Mrs. Robert D. Meade of Lynchburg, Mr. and Mrs. Armistead Boyd of Charles City, Va., and Sam Thorne of Greensboro were recent guests of Dr. and Mrs. Edward Orgain and Mrs. W. A. Graham. Mr. and Mrs. Wright Tisdale and sons, Trescott and Alexander, were in Warrenton Sunday night en route to their home in Greensboro after a vacation at Nags Head. Stephen Smith, Youth Director of the Warrenton Baptist Church, and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Benson accompanied 26 young people to Charlotte for the weekend on a chartered bus where they joined a youth group from Sharon Baptist Church in Charlotte for a retreat. On Saturday they went to Carowinds and on their return trip they stopped at the zoo in Asheboro. Sunday guests of Mrs. W R. Baskervill were Mrs. W. R. Baskervill and daughter, Evelyn, of South Hill. Kaiser and daughter, Ruth Ellen, of Dallas, Tex. Miss Kaiser was the roommate of Miss Williams' and they will go to Europe on Tuesday and will later return to Iran. Colonel and Mrs. James E. Mrs. Janie Rivers, chairman, president. The topic for discussion was "Progress and Improvements of Our Church and Community." Each member benefitted as she shared her ideas of how to stimulate action in her church and community.
