Ten Held On Theft Charges Bound Over To Superior Court

in connection with a
three-county theft ring were
given preliminary hearings
in Warren County District
Court during a mixed
session on Friday. Judge
Claude W. Allen, Jr., of
Oxford, presided over the
session.
James Albert Davis,
Glenn Fields, Ronnie Pernell,
Robert Gregory Perry,
Percell Richardson,
Thomas Earl Richardson,
Sandy Townes, Will Henry
Townes and Plummer
Fields appeared in court.
Davis, Glenn Fields, Pernell,
Perry, Townes and
Plummer Fields waived
their right to preliminary
hearing on charges of either
breaking, entering, larceny
or receiving and were
ordered to appear at the
next criminal session of
Superior Court to answer
the charge with bonds to
remain the same.
Percell Richardson',
Thomas Earl Richardson
and Sandy Townes, charged
with multiple counts, appeared
in court for a bond
reduction. Percell Richardson's
bond was reduced to
$2500 in Warren County with
other counties' bond to
remain the same. The other
requests were denied and
Thomas Earl Richardson
and Sandy Tbwnes' bonds
will remain the same.
The defendants then
waived their right to a
preliminary hearing and
were ordered to appear at
the next criminal session of
Superior Court to answer
charges.
Other cases disposed of
are as follows:
Dennis Alston, bastardy,
voluntary dismissal.
Robert J. Brown, speeding
66 in 55 mph zone,
driving under the influence
of intoxicating liquor, no
operator's license, called
and failed. Bon3~of $135
forfeited.

the age of 65 are not
applying for the VA nonservice
connected pension.

on the veteran's income
after age 65— Social Security,
Railroad, Civil Service,
other retirements and dividends
and interests received
are considered income for
pension. The income limitation
for veterans without
dependent is $3600. Veterans
with dependent, the limitation
is $4,760. Think it over.

ordered to begin
making support payments
into the office of Clerk of
Superior Court with sums to
be remitted to the Department
of Human Resources.
Cleveland Watson, worthless
checks, ordered to pay
one court cost and the
amount of checks.
Earl Watson, bastardy,
voluntary dismissal.
Daniel Williams, Jr.,
worthless check, called and
failed.
William Roland Liles,
felonious escape. The 96tiour
hearing for Vance
County was held and the
Vance County Clerk of Superior
Court was ordered to
appoint the defendant a
lawyer.
Louise P. Townes vs. Joe
Alston, called and failed.
Drdered arrested for appearance
on August 26 with
bond set at $500.
Alma S. Hargrove vs.
Leroy Hargrove, defendant
found in contempt of court
and ordered to jail for 60
days and work under the
supervision of the N. C.
Department of Correction
with sentence to begin on
August 26.
Annie Shearin vs. Eddie
Valentine, defendant found
in contempt of court and
ordered to jail for 45 days
and assigned to work under
the supervision of the N. C.
Department of Correction
with sentence to begin on
August 26.

Sledge, absolute divorce
granted.
Egerton Plummer, assault
on female, ordered to
jail for 18 months and
assigned to work under the

continued upon the condition
that he pay (75 on day of
court for support and $30
each week until all arrearages
are caught up with the

period.
