Miss Johnson Weds Mr. Bartholomew Amidst a setting of candlelight and greenery, Miss Sharon Kay Johnson and William Daniel Bartholomew were united in marriage on Sunday, September 11, at three in the afternoon in the Warrenton Baptist Church. The Rev. William Henry Crouch officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is ihe daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Durwood Johnson of Rt. 1, Warrenton. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Leroy Bartholomew of Warrenton are parents of the groom. Music was provided by James Randall Davis, organist and Mrs. Sterling R. Quick, sister of the bride, who saftg, "The Wedding Song" and "Oh Perfect Love." Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a formal gown of white silk organza over bridal taffeta. After a wedding trip to the mountains of North Carolina, the couple will reside at Route 1, Warrenton. Mrs. Bartholomew is employed by Branch Bank and Trust Company in Warrenton. Her husband is a deputy sheriff for Warren County. Reception Immediately following the ceremony, the parents of the bride entertained at a reception at their home on the Norlina Road. Guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell S. Avery, Sr., aunt and uncle of the bride. Goodbyes were said to Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Daniel. Miss Patsy Daniel and Miss Susan Hardy presided at the guest register. After the bride and groom cut the traditional first slice of the wedding cake, Mrs. Fred L. Bartholomew, Jr., and Mrs. Raymond Bartholomew completed serving the cake. Punch was poured by Mrs. Claude Weldon and Mrs. Wayne Bartholomew. Other dainties were served from silver appointments.
