G1LEND4R ' Annual Bazaar Is Scheduled The Lutheran Women's Missionary League of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Ridgeway will hold their Country Store and Bake Sale on Saturday. Nov. 21. from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. A variety of home-baked breads, cakes, pies, cookies, candy, pickles, jelly and preserves will be offered as well as many gifts for Christmas. Aprons, stuffed toys, ceramics, placemats and potted plants will be available. A snack bar will be open serving drinks, sandwiches, and ham biscuits. Bake Sale Is Planned Here The Hebron United Methodist Women will have a bake sale on Friday, Nov. 20, at AAA Gas Company on Main Street in Warrenton. Parent, Teacher Meet Set Hawkins Elementary School will have a Parent Teacher Conference on Nov. 18 at 7 p. m. At this meeting, the PTA will be organized and officers elected. Interested parents and others are invited to attend. Maccn Music Show Planned A free country music show will be held at the old Macon School on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 7:30 p. m. until 10:30 p. m. featuring the Southern Class Country Band and Sidney Driver's Country and Blue Grass Band. Special Service Scheduled A special Thanksgiving Day service will be held at 10 a m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Ridgeway. God's Harvest Day Slated The Wise Baptist Church will celebrate God's Harvst Day on Sunday, Nov. 22. All members and former members are urged to attend. A fellowship dinner will be held following services. Workshop Planned In Vance A one-day workshop on youth and crime will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. at Coton Memorial Presbyterian Church at Chestnut aid Hamilton Streets in Henderson. The workshop will inform youth, parents and concerned adults about tie criminal justice system and the roles youth and aduls play in preventing crime. Persons interested n sponsoring young people who might wish to attend shoud contact Mrs. Virginia Butler at 427 Pearl Street, Hender son. A registration fee of $2.50 is required and it wil include lunch. Lay Witness Mission Set There will be a lay witness mission at Zion Unite! Methodist Church, Norlina, on Saturday, Nov. 21 beginning at 7:30 p. m. The Thompson Family Singer will be participating in the program and the mission wil conclude SuncLy with a covered dish luncheon after th< morning worship service. Everyone is invited to attend. KIMBALL Funeral services for Joseph Alexander Kimball, 79, were conducted at 3 p. m. Saturday from the Wise Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert Rogers. Burial was in the Wise cemetery. Mr. Kimball died in Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson on Thursday morning following several years of declining health. He was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Oakley Kimball. Mr. Kimball was a farmer in the Wise community and a lifelong member of Wise Baptist Church, where he served in a number of capacities, including deacon. Surviving are a son, Alson Joseph Kimball of Henderson; two daugh ters, Mrs. Thelma Cole man of Gastonia and Mrs. Elizabeth Collier of Wise; a brother, Alton P. Kimball of Warrenton; a sister, Mrs. Molly Kimball of Warrenton; eight grand children, and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Eugene Young, James Rivers, Steve Young, Julian Felts, Milton Ayscue and Bernard Harris. JOHN A. NARRON, JR. SMITHFIELD - Fun eral services for John A. Narron, Jr., 57, senior vice president of First Citizens Bank and Trust Company, who died Saturday, were conducted from Centenary United Methodist Church on Monday at 11 a. m. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Narron is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary George Isley Narron; two sons, Clayton Narron and Johnnie Narron, both of Smithfield; a daughter, Miss Georgeann Narron of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Anna Whitley of Smithfield, and Mrs. Dorothy Massey of War renton; his mother, Hazel Narron of Smithfield; and two grandchildren. MRS. IONER. FELTS PALMER SPRINGS, VA.—Graveside rites for Mrs. lone Raines Felts, 72, of Palmer Springs, Va., were conducted at 11 a. m. Tuesday from Jerusalem Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Gordon Allen. Mrs. Felts died Saturday. She was the daughter of James and Agnes O'Neal Raines and was the widow of the late Herbert Lee Felts. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Laverne Hinnant Stokes of Garner, N. C.; a brother, Claiborne Raines of Clayton, N. C.; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Whitley of Palmer Springs, Mrs. Mavis Griswold of Fuquay-Varina, N. C. and Mrs. May Price of Raleigh, N. C. and two grandchil iren. MILLIE GREEN Funeral services for Mrs. Millie Hunter Green were held Saturday at 2 p. m. at First Baptist Church of Norlina by Dr. Leroy Fitts. Burial was in White's Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Green, daughter of Mrs. Jessie W. Hunter and the late HoUk P. Hunter, was born in W«rren County on May 14,1929. She died in Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson. Surviving in addition to her mother, a resident of Norlina, are her husband, Arthur Samuel Green of Norfolk, Va.; one son, James A. Green of Peters burg, Va.; two sisters, Mary Hunter of Norlina and Lucille Burton of Hen derson and one grand daughter. Pallbearers were Leonard Jones, Eddie L. Rodwell, Francis Alston, John Jenkins, Thomas Manson and Plummer D. Watkins. MACON HUX LITTLETON — Funeral services for Macon Oscar Hux, 83, of Rt. 2, Littleton were conducted at 2 p. m. Tuesday from Hockaday Funeral Home Chapel in Roanoke Rapids by the Rev. Daniel Hux and the Rev. C. R. Hollowell. Burial was in Crestview Memorial Cemetery there. Mr. Hux, a retired farmer, died Sunday night at his home. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bettie Neville Hux of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Willie Black Boyce of Littleton; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Cullom of Roanoke Rapids; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. INFANT HARVEY Graveside services for Baby Boy Harvey, son of Ms. Dorothy Harvev. were held Friday at 2 p. m. at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Halifax County. The Rev. Mr. Richardson was in charge of the services. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Harvey of Hollister. VIRGIE KEYS Mrs. Virgie L. Coleman Keys, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cole man, died Monday, at Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge, N. J. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a. m. at Cooks Chapel Baptist Church at Warren Plains. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Keys was born in Warren County and was a retired registered nurse. She resided in Darby, Pa. for many years, returning to Durham upon her retire ment. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hazetta Bagby of Montclair, N. J.; five sisters, Mrs. Lula Jerman of Norlina, Mrs. Delia Judkins, Mrs. Geneva Peten and Mrs. Mattie Malloy, all of Durham, and Mrs. Salome Alston of Philadelphia, Pa.; one brother, Thomas Coleman of Washington, D. C. The family will be at Harris-Turner Funeral Home Friday from 7-8 p. m. EDWARD YARBOROUGH HENDERSON - Funer al services for Edward Earl Yarborough, 44, will be held Thursday at 3 p. m. from the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home by the Rev. Calvin Mills and the Rev. James Hunsinger. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Yarborough died Monday afternoon in Duke Medical Center in Durham following an extended illness. The son of Lucy Wallace Yarborough and the late George Ruffin Yar borough, he was a Vance native, a retired textile worker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his mother, are his widow, Mrs. Anna Mont gomery Yarborough; a daughter, Mrs. Karen Y. Clark of Henderson; a son, Timothy Yarborough of Henderson; a sister, Mrs. Delores Rudd of Warren County; two brothers, Arthur Thomas Yarborough, Sr. and William Howard Yarborough, both of Henderson; and six grand children. Parrish. WALTER H. MOONEY ROANOKE RAPIDS - Funeral services for Walter M. Mooney, 45, of Roanoke Rapids who died Monday, will be held at 2 p. m. today from Branch Funeral home. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Laura Mooney Conway of Littleton; two daughters, Miss Tammy Mooney of Roanoke Rapids and Mrs. Arlene Martin of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sons, Mike Mooney of the U.
