4-H'ers, Leaders Find
s Dream Comes True
A dream came true for
40 4-H'ers, leaders,
parents and friends of the
Best Better 4-H Club as
they made their last stop
at the World's Fair on a
seven-day tour.
The group left
Warrenton on July 2,
arriving in Buffalo, N. Y.
on Saturday at 3 p. m. The
evening was spent
resting, relaxing,
shopping and visiting
relatives. Sunday, the
club toured Niagara
Falls. With the aid of a
tour guide on the bus, the
group visited the falls in
America and Canada, the
islands and a new
experience of going
through U. S. and
Canadian customs. After
a day of touring and a
banquet dinner, 4-H
members enjoyed the
evening roller skating.
Monday was an
enjoyable day of
traveling to Cincinnati,
Ohio and sharing ideas,
enjoying each other's
fellowship and finding
time for a little rest.
With the temperature
in the mid 90's the group
had a fun-filled Tuesday
at King's Island. King's
Island is known as the
original King's Dominion
with fun and rides for all
ages.
Wednesday was
another exciting day as 4
H members visited the
American Museum of
Science and Energy at
Oak Ridge, Tenn. Special
classes and activities
were planned by the
museum staff and several
4-H'ers participated in
exhibits and workshops.
The 4-H Club was
fortunate to have Paul
Krockman again as tour
driver with Trailways.
The Best Better Club can
always depend on having
a safe and enjoyable trip
and looks forward to good
food at each stop selected
by Mr. Krockman. Mr.
krockman has been tour
driver for the club for
four years and each year
club members look
forward to having him the
next year.
