Harrison and Charles M. Richardson, both of HoUister, were unttad in marriage at 3 o'clock Saturday, July 24, at Activities At Plaza By MARTHA PAGE It is really summer time now with the hot, muggy weather and the light summer showers. Many of our people enjoy the sunshine and do a lot of walking out' side. We bad a visit last week from the Kerr Lake Characters, a country music group, and I can't remember anything that the residents have enjoyed any more. The group consisted of Durwood Johnson, Tom and Francis Young, Steve Young, Red Largely, Blackie Chappell, Tommy Pearce, Robert Young and Danny Chappell. They played several different kinds of music, including country, pop and gospel. They also played some old-time spirituals which were enjoyed by everyone. The group is coming bade this week to entertain us again, and we are looking forward to seeing them. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Young were in my office recently and from the conversation I had with them I found they enjoyed the experience of being here and seeing the residents' faces as much as the residents enjoyed them. They are really looking forward to coming back and we are looking forward to having them. I want to say a special "thank you" to all the people in both the Warrenton and the Littleton communities for their concern, prayers, calls, cards, flowers and visits during my stay in the hospital and since coming home. It is a very good feeling to know that you have friends who are concerned. I am now bade at work and am doing very well. A special "thank you" to Dr. Cofiman and all the nurses at Warren General Hospital for their good care and to Dennis Paschall and Tony Faucette for their efforts in carrying me to and from Raleigh. I could not have asked for any better care than I received from all of these Deoole.
