Church Women Have Gathering The United Methodist Women of Drewry met in the home of Mollie Paschall for their an nual picnic recently. As family and friends gathered on the lawn for supper and friendship, Frank Wrenn, III read a poem on Friendship. Mollie Paschall gave a brief history of the UMW, a society that was organized in July 1940. The group paused to remember the 13 mem bers who have died. Thirty-seven mem bers and friends were present. Curtis Campbell, former pastor of Norlina United Methodist Church, and his wife, Debbie, will be featured in leading roles in "The Fantasticks" slated for four perform ances at Joseph Mont fort Ampitheater in Halifax. The play, directed by Charlie-John Smith of Henderson, is being sponsored by the Halifax Historic Associ ation. Performances are scheduled for July 27 and 28 and August 3 and 4, beginning at 8:30 each night. Admission is $4 for adults and $2.50 for children. Hunt and his wife, Arlene, operate a va riety of puppets which they will incorporate into the children's pro gram to teach Bible truths, stories and songs. Adult Camp Held By Vaughan Pair Adult camp for 11 Ex panded Foods and Nutrition Education Program Homemakers was conducted by Mrs. Edith Clark, EFNEP aide and her daughter, Miss Betsy Clark, on the lawn of her home in Vaughan on July 5 from 2-4:30 p. m. Mrs. Clark taught a food lesson on "Nutri ents" and the role they play in the quest of good health. Miss Betsy Clark was in charge of recre ation. Mrs. Wayne Hawks of Greensboro and Mrs. Harold Braddy Locklear of Rowland assisted in serving and pouring punch. Rehearsal Dinner Party On Friday evening a rehearsal dinner party was held on the back lawn at the home of the bride's parents. Bar becue was cooked by Hardy H. Bell of Pem broke. Following the dinner, the out-of-town guests and friends were enter tained with an indoor pool party at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Martin L. Brooks of Pembroke. Mrs. Don Strickland of Chapel Hill assisted her parents in hosting the party.
