Judge Allen Presides Over Court Judge Ben U. Allen of Henderson presided over the Nov. 9 session of Warren County District Court, disposing of the following cases: Bobby Harris, selling and delivering counter feit drugs and posses sion with intent to sell and deliver counterfeit drugs, probable cause found and cases bound over to the next session of Warren County Superior Court. Larry Wayne Hamm, communicating threats and assault on a female, voluntary dismissal. Ervin Hargrove, breaking, entering and larceny, found guilty of trespassing, ordered to jail for 10 days. He was found not guilty of assault on a female. Joe Spruill, assault by pointing a gun and com municating threats, voluntary dismissal. Harril Durham, two counts of failure to com ply, called and failed, arrest order issued and bond set at $150. Clemon Kearney, breaking and entering, called and failed, bond set at $500. Harold Alonzo Durham, two count of failure to comply, called and failed, arrest order issued and bond set at $100. Clarence Worth Calhoun, Jr., fishing without a license, volun tary dismissal with leave. Henry Albert Balk cum, driving at a speed faster than reasonable and prudent, called and failed, arrest order issued and bond set at $100. William Jordan, Sr., two counts of possession of controlled substance with intent to sell, manufacturing con trolled substance, sim ple possession of con trolled substance and maintain a place used to sell controlled sub stance, probable cause found and cases bound over to next session of Warren County Superior Court. Calvin Hargrove, possession with intent to sell and deliver mari juana, probable cause found and case bound over to next session of Warren County Superior Court. Duster Richardson, two counts of selling non-taxpaid alcoholic beverage, possession of non-taxpaid alcoholic beverage for purpose of sale, sentence to con secutive terms of 12 months, suspended for two years on condition he pay fine of $800 and costs of court and the sum of $250 to be turned over to the county un dercover fund. Volun tary dismissals were taken on two charges of selling illegal liquor, possession of liquor for purpose of sale and sell ing non-taxpaid alcoholic beverage. Haywood June Cheek, Jr., possession of liquor for purpose of sale and four counts of illegal sale of liquor, ordered to prison for not less than 18 months and not more than 24 months, suspen ded for three years and placed on probation for three years on condition that he pay fine of $200 and costs and pay $200 for county undercover fund. The court found that three pints of vodka introduced into evidence had not been opened but had been defaced and was not available for resale, therefore it or dered that the vodka be returned to the defen dant and that he request that the vodka be given to his attorney as part of his attorney fees. He was found not guilty of two charges of possession of taxpaid alcoholic beverage without obtaining ABC permit, and possession of liquor for purpose of sale. Enoch Greene, selling non-taxpaid alcoholic beverage, ordered to jail for eight months, suspended for two years on condition that he not sell any liquor during the period of suspension and pay a fine of $200 and costs and pay $100 for the county under cover fund. Sam Alston, posses sion with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, probable cause found and case bound over to the next session of Warren County Superior Court. Brenda Lee Hamm, communicating threats, called and failed, arrest order issued and bond set at $100. Hattie Kersey, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflic ting serious injury and murder, bond set at $25,000. Chavis Daniel Bullock, transporting wine or liquor with broken seal or cap, or dered to jail for not less than 14 days and not more than 60 days, suspended for one year and defendant placed on probation for one year on condition he pay $150 fine and costs, perform community service for period of 72 hours, not operate a motor vehicle on the highways of N. C. for one year, surrender his license and not operate a motor vehicle until his driving privilege is restored. Defendant was given 18 days credit for time served awaiting trial and ordered to pay $100 for community services fee. Eddie Roy Davis, transporting wine or liquor with broken seal or cap, ordered to jail for 45 days, suspended {or one year and placed on probation for one year on condition that he perform 72 hours of community service, pay fine of $la0 and costs, surrender his license and not operate a motor vehicle on the highways of N. C. until allowed by the Department of Motor Vehicles, attend the Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School and pay $50 tuition and pay $50 community services fee. Donna Vanessa Smith, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, called and failed. Chavis Daniel Bul lock, resisting or ob structing an officer, not guilty. . Jeannette Maria Robinson, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, called and failed. George Long, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, volun tary dismissal. Judith Morgenstern Greene, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, called and failed, arrest order issued and bond set at $100. Mark Anderson DeCarlo, speeding 68 in 55 mph zone, called and failed, arrest order issued and bond set at $100. William Mayfield, breaking, entering and larceny, no probable cause found. Jon Terry Fowler, ob taining property by false, pretenses, volun tary dismissal. Willie Louis Edwards, driving while subject to impairing substance, not guilty. William D. Blaylock, improper passing, prayer for judgment continued on payment of costs. A voluntary dismissal was taken on a charge of reckless driving. Robert Bobby White (also known as Joseph White), no driver's license, ordered to jail for ten days, suspended on condition he pay fine of $25 and costs. Jesse Lamont Tillman, allowing unlicensed person to operate a motor vehicle, called and failed, arrest order issued and bond set at $100. Alex A. Clark, Jr., refusing to present him self for admission as TB patient, ordered to prison for two years, suspended for two years on condition he consent to be hospitalized in a state or federal sanitorium or a general hospital and remain there until discharged by the medical director or controlling authority. An absolute divorce was granted in the case of Geneva Baker Jones vs. Chester A. Jones. Spices Mace and nutmeg are sis ter spices.
