James Russell Fuller, found not guilty by a jury of 12 to a charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Robert Lee Alston, guilty of assault with a deadly weapon, ordered confined in the N. C. Department of Correction for 18 months. Court recommended work release provided he shall make restitution to the victim, John B. Alston, in the amount of $1,705.15. Amended in order for him to serve sentence in Warren County Jail so long as he abides by all rules and regulations and orders of the sheriff. Jerry Wayne Jones, cnarged with breaking and entering and larceny, called and failed, order for arrest and order for forfeiture issued. Bond set at $2,000. Larry Townes, charge of preparation to commit burglary dismissed by district attorney. Townes was found guilty to charge of felonious Area Servicemen Are In The News Air Force Sgt. Reginald Solomon, son of Milton R. and Alberta F. Solomon of Littleton, has arrived for duty at Clark Air Base, Philippines. Solomon, a machinist with the 3rd Equipment Maintenance Squadron, was previously assigned at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. Sgt. Maurice Hawkins, son of Charlie and Virginia Hawkins of Rt. 3, Littleton, has graduated from the U. S. Air Force ground communications radio specialist course at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. Graduates of the course learned to install and maintain highpowered ground communications equipment, and earned credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force. Hawkins is scheduled to serve with the 2052nd Communications Squadron at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. The sergeant is a 1979 graduate of John Graham High School. Airman Kevin R. Williams, son of Novella R. Davis of Rt. 2, Norlina, has completed Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. The airman, who is remaining at Lackland for specialized training in the security police field, studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special instruction in human relations. During the six weeks at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special training in human relations.
