Judge Allen Presides Over Session Of Warren County District Court Judge C. W. Allen, Jr. of Oxford presided over the March 7 session of Warren County District Court, disposing of the following cases: Timothy Payton, possession of controlled substance, fined $35 and costs. Defendant gave notice of appeal to the next criminal session of Warren County Superior Court. Cecil Brodie, failure to comply, court found that defendant willfully and without just cause violated the terms and conditions of the suspended sentence which was ordered revoked and the active sentence of six months invoked. Walter Lyons, assault on a female, found guilty of simple assault, ordered to jail for ten days, suspended for two years on condition he pay a fine of $20 and costs and not be found guilty of any crime involving assault during the period of suspension. John Lanneau Ramey, driving at a speed faster than reasonable and prudent, called and failed, voluntary dismissal with leave. Joseph Lewis Meadows, second offense of driving under the influence, entered plea of guilty of first offense of driving under the influence, ordered to jail for 60 days. A voluntary dismissal was taken on charges of driving left of center and possession of a controlled substance. Therese Jones, driving while subject to an impairing substance, ordered to jail for 90 days, suspended for 12 months and placed on probation for 12 months on condition defendant pay $150 fine and costs, pay $125 for attorney fees, complete 72 hours of community service work and pay the $50 fee, attend the Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School and pay the $50 fee. Defendant was found not guilty of hit and run and no driver's license. Defendant gave notice of appeal to the next criminal session of Warren County Superior Court. Junious Alphonso Fogg, driving while subject to an impairing substance, ordered to jail for 60 days, suspended 12 months and placed on probation for 12 months on condition he pay $100 fine and costs, pay $125 for attorney fees, complete 72 hours of community service work and pay the $50 fee, attend the Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School and pay the $50 fee and surrender his operator's license and not operate a motor vehicle on the highways of N. C. until allowed to do so by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Kenneth D. Williams, speeding 68 in 55 mph zone, called and failed, voluntary dismissal with leave. John Daniel Binnie, speeding 74 in 56 mph zone, called and failed, judgment absolute on bond, dismissal with leave. Dorothy White Baranoski, driving while subject to an impairing substance and driving left of center, ordered to jail for 181 days, suspended for three years and placed on probation for three years on condition she serve 14 days active in the Warren County Jail to be served on weekends, pay $200 fine and costs, and pay $100 attorney fee. She was found not guilty of driving while license revoked. She gave notice of appeal to the next criminal session of Warre County Superior Court. Wendell Melvin Hopkins, driving while subject to an impairing substance, called and failed, arrest ( order issued, bond ordered forfeited and new bond set at $300. Thomas Edward Solomon, Jr., no driver's license and driving while subject to an impairing substance, called and failed, bond ordered forfeited, arrest order issued and new bond ordered tripled. Gene Russell Conner, speeding 72 in 55 mph zone, called and failed, arrest order issued and bond set at $100. Wenske, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, called and failed. Michael Patrick Brown, speeding 53 in 35 mph zone, entered plea of guilty of speeding 50 in 35 mph zone, fined $15 and costs. Thurman Hargrove, assault by pointing a gun, dismissed by prosecutor. Donald Edward Hargrove, damage to personal property and operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility, ordered to jail for 40 days, suspended for three years on condition he pay costs in one case, pay fine of $25 and pay $194 as restitution to Patricia Jones and for three years not be found guilty of any crime wherein he does not have liability insurance. Levi Williams, defrauding innkeeper, fined $20 and costs. Betty Lou Jones, assault with a deadly weapon, not guilty. Ervin Kearney, worthless check ordered to jail for 20 days, I suspended for two years on condition he pay costs and $15.49 restitution. Jenetta Williams, simple assault, ordered to jail for 20 days, suspended for two years on condition she pay $40 fine and costs and for two years not be found guilty of any crime involving assault. Rosalie Klingzahn Abrams, selling malt beverage after hours, prayer for judgment continued for two years on condition she pay $40 fine and costs. Cedric Louis Early, speeding 69 in 55 mph zone, entered plea of guilty of exceeding a safe speed, costs.
