Warren County, Area Death And Funerals CLYDE E.RODWELL Graveside services for Clyde E. Rodwell, 92, were conducted at Fairview Cemetery in Warrenton at noon Friday by the Rev. Gary E. Parker, pastor of Warrenton Baptist Chirch. Mr. Rodwell died Wednesday at Warren General Hospital at Warrenton after being in declining health for several months. A native of Oakville, Warren County and the son of the late Walter P. and Margaret Jeffress, he graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest College in 1914. Following his graduation, he taught school for a short period, worked in the Bank of Warren and served for a short time as Warren County's first auditor. In January 1920 he and his elder orother, H. W. Rodwell, became stockholders of W. H. Dameron and Company in the supply business. Following the death of W. H. Dameron, Warren Cotton and Fertilizer Company was incorporated in 1932 with H. W. Rodwell, C. E. Rodwell and Mrs. W. H. Dameron as stockholders. He served with the company until its sale to Smith-Douglass Company in 1965. At that time he was president of the company to which W. R. Woodall had been added as stockholder. Following the sale, unwilling to retire, he formed his own fertilizer company with a warehouse at the Warrenton Railroad Depot with Wiley Coleman as warehouse manager. He served as salesman for one or two years before his retirement. For about 10 years he served as a member of the Warren County Industrial Commission until his retirement because of ill health. He was a member of the Warrenton Baptist Church where he had served as trustee and deacon for many years. He was a former member of the Warrenton Rotary Club. Surviving are his wife, Annie Harris Rodwell of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Anne R. Huntley of Reston, Va., and Mrs. James E. Trotter, Jr., of Durham; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the North Carolina Synphony. WILLIAM M. BULLOCK Funeral services for William M. Bullock wiU be conducted today (Wednesday) at 2 p. m. at Oak Level Christian Church in Drewry with the Rev. Leon White, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Bullock, the son of the late Martha and Walter T. Bullock, was born on Feb. 25, 1901 in the Ridgeway community and died on March 7 at St. Agnes Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he had been confined since Feb. 2. He received his formal education in the Burchett Chapel School in Drewry. At an early age, he became a member of Oak Level Church, where he was ordained a deacon and remained a supportive member until death. He was a member of the Warren County Singing Union and taught music to various choirs. Mr. Bullock was married to Mary E. Thomas, who preceded him in death. In 1975, Mr. Bullock moved to Philadelphia, Pa. Mr. Bullock is survived by four sons, John, Solomon, Calvin and Clemon Bullock; nine daughters, Priscilla Saunders, Clara Powell, Jessie Ruffin, Eunice Stamper, Martha McKoy, Mary Mason, Josephine Brown, Annie Pompey, and Shelva Turner; seven sisters, four brothers, 41 grandchildren, and 38 greatgrandchildren. POLLY ALLEN JONES Funeral services for Polly Allen Jones, 78, of Warrenton were conducted Sunday at 2 p. m. at Greenwood Baptist Church by the Rev. William King of Baltimore, Md. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Jones died Thursday morning. She was the daughter of the late Willie Allen and Lucy Allen of Warrenton. Mrs. Jones graduated from Fayetteville State College and taught for eighteen years in Warren County public schools. Survivors include her husband, Harold Jones of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Lucy J. Miller of Baltimore, Md. and Mrs. Corannetta J. Roberson, also of Baltimore; two brothers, William Williams and Thomas Allen, both of Warrenton; and a sister, Annie B. Allen, also of Warrenton. BEHTIEB. VAUGHAN Funeral services for Mrs. Bettie Kathleen Bryant Vaughan, 52, of Garner were conducted Saturday at 2 p. m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Clayton with burial in Warren Dale Cemetery in Norlina. Mrs. Vaughan died Thursday. Among the survivors is a brother, Lewis Bryant of Warrenton. JOHNH. VAUGHAN Funeral services for John Henry Vaughan of Roanoke Rapids were conducted Saturday at 1 p. m. at Branch Funeral Home with burial in Cedarwood Cemetery. Mr. Vaughan died Thursday. Among the survivors are a son, Martin Vaughan of Norlina, and a foster daughter, Mrs. Doris Pepper, also of Norlina. GLENDAN. LUTIC1A HARVEY Funeral services for Luticia Solomon Harvey, 58, of Roanoke Rapids were conducted Thursday at 2 p. m. at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel in Littleton by the Rev. George Battle; Burial was in Lebanon AME Church Cemetery. Mrs. Harvey died March 5 at Halifax Memorial Hospital. Survivors include a son, Jeremiah Harvey of Littleton, and a sister, Cynthia Alston of Littleton. DORIS ELLINGTON DARLINGTON Funeral services for Doris Hux Ellington, 51, of Littleton were conducted Friday at 2 p. m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church by the Rev. Hank Williams. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ellington died March 6 at Convalescent Care Nursing Home in Enfield. She is survived by her husband, William "Billy" Ellington of Darlington; a son, Willis 0. Ellington of Littleton; her mother, Betsy Jane Hux of Littleton; a sister, Audrey Cullom of High Point; two brothers, George Hux of Roanoke Rapids and Warren Hux of Littleton.
