At Norlina Middle School Globetrotters Seen By KENDRA HENDERSON And YVETTE TER1 On Monday, March 12, the Girl Scouts at Norli Middle School sponsored a trip to Durham to see t • Harlem Globetrotters. Approximately 40 studei went. There were several funny events in the sho Number 35 was a clown who danced with a nv... from the audience and scattered a ladies purse all over the floor. He also took money from a man's wallet. Curley wore a wig and danced around tlio court. They threw water and rice on some of tl audience, too. They were a lot of fun to watch, and they actt silly. You only had to watch them for a little while to see that they really know how to play basketbal though. They always had control of the ball an were excellent athletes. The trip was a lot of fun, and if you ever get to see the Globetrotters, we hope you will enjoy it a much as we did. We are looking forward to another championship season, so come and support the Blue Waves! This week, we'd like to include in our column a poem by Scott Burchette: "Love is... Love is like sweet home Love is like flowers Love is like a new born baby Love isn't like dirt Love isn't like drowning Love isn't like fighting Most of all love isn't like killing."
