Deyton, Jr. of Jackson ville spent the weekend with Mrs. Paul Brauer. Mr. and Mrs. Wildon Price and son, Mark, of Kinston visited her mother, Mrs. Sudie Coleman, on Saturday and Sunday. C. wired flowers for the occasion as they were not able to join them. They also have children and grandchildren away from home. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Nave of Las Vegas, Nev., par ents of Mrs. W. E. Coleman have been visiting relatives in 111. lately and will arrive Tuesday in South Carolina for a visit before returning home to Nevada. Youth Is Christened Adam Grant Richard son, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Richardson of Norlina, was christened Sunday at Zion United Methodist church by the Rev. LaVerne Womack during the worship ser vice. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Adcock of Macon were godparents. After the service, the Richardsons hosted a dinner at their home for Mr. and Mrs. John Hunt of Chesterfield, S. C. maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Richardson of Norlina, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Adcock, Chris and April and Mrs. Lillie Harton of Norlina. Circle Two Has Meeting Circle Two of the Nor lina United Methodist W.S.C.S. met on May 8 in the home of Mrs. Kenneth Davis with eight members present. Mrs. Davis presented the program, using Psalm 127 for the devotional and excerpts from the book, "Garlands for Mother." Mrs. Grissom, circle chairman, presided < over the business session which included final plans for the Meth odist Men's Supper and the general meeting which will be held on May 28 at the church. Poschall-Carter Vows Are Spoken In Norlino Miat Nancy Row Car ter and Denote Moton PaachaO were united in marriage May 5 at 2 p. m. at Nortina United Methodist Church in Noriina. The Rev. Jimmy Williams officiated at tne double-ring cere mony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Ada Carter of Noriina and Howitt Carter of Wise. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Paschall of Noriina. A program of nuptial music was rendered by Mrs. Melba Barker of Noriina. Charles Stephens of Portsmouth, Va. was soloist, accom panied by Waylan Goodin of Chesapeake, Va. The sanctuary was decorated with arch and pyramid candelabra and greenery. Given in marriage by her mother and father and escorted by her brother, Wayne Carter, the bride wore a formal Victorian gown. Her headpiece was a crown of stephanotis and tulle. Mrs. Susan Blaylock of Warrenton was matron of honor. Brides maids were Mrs. Phyllis Carter of Rocky Mount and Mrs. Pam Carter of Wise. Charlie Paschall, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mike Carter of Rocky Mount and Bob Carter of Norlina, brothers of the bride, and Norman Paschall of Norlina, brother of the groom. Miss Martha Kay Paschall of Norlina and Miss Ann Carter of Wise served as flower girls. Ring bearer «u Master Chris Cuter of Rocky Mount Mrs. Scarlett Paschall of Norlina was mistress of ceremonies. Reception A reception was given following the ceremony by Vivian Loyd and Loree Harris of Warren ton. The table was decorated with lilies of the valley, magnolia blooms, and daisies. The three-tier cake was decorated with yellow daisies. Mrs. Rachel Partin of Raleigh and Mrs. Nell Hicks of Warrenton assisted in decorations for the reception. Mrs. Juanita Viands and Mrs. Ruth Paschall poured the punch and Mrs. Alice Herron and Mrs. Mabel Powell served the cake. After-Rehearsal Party Mr. and Mrs. Graham Grissom and Mr. and Mrs. Clint Hege hosted an after-rehearsal party honoring the bridal couple at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grissom in Norlina. Guests included the wedding party, family and friends. Given Degree Elizabeth Anne Gup ton received a bachelor of arts degree in home economics during commencement exer cises held Sunday at Meredith College. Miss Gupton is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Gupton of Alexandria, Va. and the granddaughter of Mrs. R. H. Fuller and Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Wiggins of Warren County.. Mr. and Mrs. Harold T. Clark of Palmer Springs, Va. announce the engagement of their daughter, Sharon Rose, to Michael Bryant Aycock, son of Thelma Aycock and the late David Aycock of Norlina. The wedding is planned for September 16 at 2 p. m. in Bethesda Baptist Church in Palmer Springs, Va. Friends and relatives are invited to at tend.
