These three clowns will be part of an evening of entertainment presented at Hawkins Elementary School Gym on Tuesday, Oct. 16, when the Original Fun Time Circus, sponsored by Mariam Boyd Elementary School, comes to town. The show, which begins at 7:30 p. m., will include jugglers, animal tricks and a magic show. Cost is $3 for adults. Children will be admitted for half-price. The circus, founded in 1942, has appeared in 32 states and was recently featured on CBS television. Proceeds from the show will go toward purchase of supplies needed by the school. geio Agent Orange Victims Sought Warren County Veterans Service Of ficer Russell Currtn is urging any veteran who believes he may have adverse health effects related to Agent Orange exposure to contact his office. Currin reports that he has the latest form, which should be com pleted not later than Oct. 26 and returned to Agent Orange Computer Center in Smithtown, N. Y. The Veterans Service office is located in the Warren County Court house on the second floor. Currin may be contacted by telephone at 257-3386. Worshipers May Call Time On Minister This Sundav Worshipers at historic St. John's Episcopal Church in Williamsboro on Sunday, Oct. 14, will have their first oppor tunity to "call time" on the minister by using a large sermon hour-glass which was hand made in England as an authentic fitting for Anglican church of the colonial period. The Rev. Harrison T. Simons, a member of the St. John's Commit tee, has indicated that the hour-glass will be in use at the homecoming service for the oldest frame church in the state. The sermon will be given by the Rev. Leland Smith of Holy Innocents Church in Henderson. Those attending the service can look for ward to a memorable service taken from the old Prayer Book, to be followed by a picnic on the grounds. The public is invited to experience a bit of their religious heritage in one of the few church buildings surviving from the colonial period. St. John's, built in 1772, has no active congregation today. It is maintained by volun teers of the St. John's Committee and Guild. The church is located just to the west of N. C. Highway 39 at Williams boro, seven miles north of Henderson. Harvey-Wheeler Vows Said (Continued from page 6) was flower girl. Shane Martin of Norlina was ring bearer. The groom's mother hosted an after-rehear sal dinner for the wed ding party and special friends at The Rafters Steak House in Warren ton. On Sept. 30, relatives of the bride's family were given a luncheon at the home of the bride hosted by the bride's sister and father. Guests attended from Hender son, Durham and several points in Virginia. Nursing Center News ByGLADYS STANSBURY Resident Reporter Warren Nlining Center The third of October was a day filled with fun as employees and their families enjoyed a pig picking hosted in their honor. Also present were Sen. James Speed, a former senator of this district before redis ricting, Mayor B. G. White of Warrenton and WNC owners, Joe Len non and Red Williams. To add to the fun, adults as well as children par ticipated in various games and door prizes were awarded to registered guests. We have had two ad missions since last week. These are Bertha Bishop and her mother, Mattie Bishop. Both are from Nor Una. On Sunday, the Rev. Roy Smithwick and members of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Wise were in the facility singing and offering prayer for our residents. We appreciate their visit so much. This week we would like to thank Doris Per kinson of Wise, Edna Mustian and family of Warren County and the Norlina Woman's Club for their contributions to our clothing closet. We would also like to thank local merchants as well as supportive, corporations for their donations to our em ployee pig picking.
