Judge Allen Presides Over Session Of District Court Judge C. W. Allen, Jr. of Oxford presided over the Oct. 3 session of Warren County District Court, disposing of the following cases: Cleveland Watson, shoplifting - unlawful concealment of goods, ordered to jail for 90 days; defendant, through counsel, gave notice of appeal to the next criminal session of Superior Court; continu ing bond. Steven Leonard Hais lip, possession of stolen goods, no probable cause found; case dismissed. Joseph Alexander Jones, three counts of failure to comply, court ordered probation revoked and sentence activated; defendant, through counsel, gave notice of appeal to next session of Superior Court; continuing bond to remain in effect. Tony Rollinson, bastardy — non-support of illegitimate child, dismissed by prosecu tor. Merman Hargrove, worthless check, or dered to jail for 20 days; sentence suspended for 6 rhonths upon condition that defendant pay the amount of the check for the use and benefit of Willoughby's and pay court costs. Willie D. Hedgepeth, failure to comply, order ed to pay $50 on date of court and balance with in two weeks. An absolute divorce was granted in the case of William L. Smiley vs. Eva Zerone Smiley. An absolute divorce was granted in the case of Robert Peterson, Jr. vs. Thelma Lee Thomp son Peterson. Charges Are Brought Macy Holden of Rt. 1, Kittrell was arrested on Oct. 5 on charges of felonious larceny in connection with the theft of building materials from the Owens-Illinois plant under construction on U. S. 1 near Norlina according to the Warren County Sheriff's Depart ment. Deputy B. D. Bolton, investigating officer, reported that the 30 year-old Holden was charged with taking materials valued at $500. Holden was placed in Warren County Jail, but was later released un der $500 bond pending a district court hearing to day (Wednesday.) In another report from the sheriff's department, Theodore Boyd of Paterson, N. J. was arrested on Friday and charged with breaking and entering in connection with a break in at the Wise Auto Sales and Service in Wise. He was placed in the county jail under a $2,000 bond. Boyd is also being held under fugitive warrant for grand larceny in S. C. Bond on that charge was set in the amount of $10,000. He is awaiting a district court hearing for both charges today, according to Deputy Bolton.
