BLOCK Block Helps In Project Nathan Block, Jr., son of Mrs. Marie Block of Warren County and the late Nathan (Joe) Block, recently accom panied the National Oceanic and Atmo spheric Administration satellite from New Jer sey to California. Block, who is employed at Goddard Space Flight Center (NASA) in Greenbelt, Md., was responsible for the spacecraft's vibration monitoring instrumen tation, data acquiation, and data reduction during its transporta tion from RCA Aerospace in New Jer sey to Vandenberg Afr Force Base in Cali fornia. The satellite was manufactured by RCA Aerospace in Hights town, N. J. On Oct. 1, it was loaded on an air ride truck and shipped to McQuire Air Force Base, N. J., and from there it was flown by military aircraft to Vandenberg Air Force Base. There it will un dergo testing and preparation for launch, scheduled for Nov. 8. Block has been em ployed by Goddard Space Flight Center for the past 16 years, and has received several awards for his accom plishments there. The Public Record Deed Transfers George Z.
