Congregations To Combine The combined congregations of Hebron, Macon and Warren Plains United Methodist Churches will begin their celebration of the Advent season on Wednesday evening, Dec. 5, at Hebron United Methodist Church. Bake Sale Plans Are Listed The Warren County Coordinating Council for Senior Citizens will sponsor a bake sale on Thursday, Dec. 13, from 11 a. m. until 1:30 p. m. at the senior center on the campus of Hawkins Elementary School in Warrenton. Proceeds will be used toward continued renovation of the building. Christmas Cantata Slated The Senior Choir of St. Paul's Lutheran Church near Ridgeway will present their annual Christmas Cantata, entitled "An Old-Fashioned Christmas," on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p. m. Gospel Singing Jubilee Set Pleasant Zion Baptist Church of Littleton has scheduled a Gospel Singing Jubilee for Sunday, Dec. 9, at 4 p. m. Local Volunteer ^no.ig Honorees Mrs. Alice Marie Robertson was among the 52 Red Cross volunteers receiving the 1984 Governor's Award for outstanding citizen involvement and volunteer service during a luncheon at the Annual Decorations Contest Is Planned The Warrenton Lions Club will once again sponsor its annual Christmas Decoration Contest this year. Decorations will be judged in two categories: outside decorations and inside decorations as seen from the outside. Two prizes will be awarded in each category. The Warrenton Lioness Club received a certificate for outstanding work in volunteer service. Approximately 300 volunteers, from board members to bloodmobile workers, attended the luncheon, sponsored by the Triangle Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. The Keynote address was given by Mrs. Lewis Lunsford, Jr., chairman of the Red Cross Eastern Operations Headquarters.
