Officers Installed During Ceremonies At Mansonic Temple The 1985-86 officers of Norlina Chapter No. 158 Order of the Eastern Star were installed Tues day evening, March 26, in the Warrenton Masonic Temple with Rowell Lane, past grand patron, of Henderson, presiding. He was assisted by Mrs. Hazel Lane, grand representa tive and Carl Blake, past patron. Mrs. Judy Neal and Robert White are now worthy matron and worthy patron, respec tively. Other guests included members of the worthy matron's family, her husband, Harvey S. Neal; Anita Coghill, Patricia Ellington; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Thompson; Margaret Mustian; Clinton Neal; Vance Neal; Harriotte Tharrington and her children, Tommy Neal and Jeri Gregory. Other out-of-town guests were from South Hill, Chase City and Henderson. There were refresh ments and fellowship following the meeting, with approximately 42 guests present. Now there is intense scien tific interest in a similar ques tion concerning a much earl ier time: What happened 190 million years ago that led to a profusion of dinosaurs so great that the giant reptiles spread throughout the earth and dominated the landscape for I2S million years? NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF NORLINA The Board of Commissioners of The Town of Norlina will hold a public hearing in the Commissioners Chambers of the Norlina Town Hall on April 16, 1985 at 7:30 p.m. to obtain citizens views on the proposed Com munity Development Block Grant application to be submitted to the Deport ment of Natural Resources and Community Development. The proposed community revitolization project is located in the Washington Street neighborhood. The local Option projects include Darden Street and Ac cess Road. Activities proposed include acquisition, disposition, clearance, rehabilitation of privately owned property, water improvements, street and drainage improvements, and administration.
