Mrs. Anette Anstead of Warrenton and Haszal Mills of Rocky Mount announce the engagement of their daughter, Darlene Mills, to Marvin Lee Webb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Lee Webb of Areola. A June wedding is planned at Lakeland Cultural Arts Center in Littleton. All friends and relatives are in vited to attend. Private Property Week Is Observed The Kerr Lake Board of Realtors invites the public to share with them the observance of Private Property Week, April28-May4. Private Property Week is observed each year in celebration of Anericans' right to own, use and transfer proper ty and provides an op portunity for all Ameri cans to reflect on the fundamental value of private property and its essential importance to the stability of our society. This year some 650,000 members of the National Association of Realtors will join in community activities calling attention to property rights and the need to protect and preserve them. During Private Property Week, the local realtors will sponsor various ac tivities, including open houses and buyer-and seller consultations. The Kerr Lake Board of Realtors is comprised of the following mem bers: Selby Benton Realtor, Cibco Realty, Owen Robertson and Associates, Realty World/Warrenton Insur ance and Real Estate, and Fleming Realty of Warrenton; Charles J. Applications Being Sought Applications are now being received for the next Human Resources Development (HRD) class at Vance-Gran ville Comunity College, according to Vera Gatano, publicity specialist. Registration is scheduled May 2, and classes will be held Mondays through Thursdays, 8:30 a. m. 2:30 p. m., May 6-June 27. A jobs preparation program, HRD is de signed to give students the competitive edge in seeking employment. The minimum requir ed cost for enrolling is $10, and financial aid is available to those who qualify.
