Tim Thompson, who was a patient at Duke Hospital for several days last week, has returned to his home here. JAMES NOEL ROBERTSON Miss DiHiard Marries James Noel Robertson Inez Baptist Church was the setting Satur day, Nov. 9, at three o'clock for the marriage of Miss Donna Kay Dillard and James Noel Robertson. The Rev. Tom C. Currie perform ed the double-ring cere mony. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carey A. Dillard of Warrenton, the bride at tended Louisburg College and is employed as secretary at Peck Manufacturing Com pany. Parents of the groom are Mrs. Hazel W. Robertson of Hender son and the late James A. Robertson. A graduate of Ap palachian State College, he is employed by the Warren County School Systems. A program of nuptial music was presented by Mrs. Jean Williams, pianist, and Mrs. Rosa Fleming, soloist. Given in marriage by her mother and father, the bride wore a Bridal lure gown styled by Michele Piccione. The Queen Anne neckline, bodice and bishop sleeves were trimmed in three - dimensional Venice lace and point d'esprit. The five-tier bouffant skirt was trimmed in Wedgewood lace and flowed into a semi-cathedral train. Her waist length veil of silk illusion was at tached to a Juliet cap. Mrs. Cindy Poythress, sister of the bride, served as matron of hon or. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Carol Collier, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Carol Coyle, sister of the groom. Miss Stacey Collier, niece of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid. Flower girls were Miss Diana Collier and Miss Kelly Collier, nieces of the bride. Donnie Robertson served as his brother's best man. Ushers were Lance Dillard and Brent Dillard, brothers of the bride, and Terry Coyle, brother-in-law of the groom. Mrs. Rebecca ( W. Hostesses for the oc casion were Barbara Kinton, Lorraine May nard, Ann Brown, Macie Limer, Belle Burgess, Audrey Ayscue, Gracie Peoples, Kelly Bengle, Sue Robertson Bell, Carol Coyle and Linda Watkins. A miscellaneous float ing shower was given on Oct. 5 at the Norlina Woman's Club. Allison Hundley, Doris Dillard, Elsie Gaither, Valerie Gaither, Dorothy Mar tin and Sheila Morris hosted the shower. On Oct. 11 Mrs. Jean Williams and Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson en tertained at a miscellaneous shower at the Williams home in Inez. Miss Willie Mae George hosted a miscellaneous floating shower at her home in Warrenton on Oct. 20. Others assisting were Donie Rickman, Maxine Byrum and Edna McGowan. The prospective bride and groom were given a pantry shower at the fellowship hall at Inez Baptist Church on Oct. 24. The women of the church hosted the oc casion. Mrs. Shearin Is Entertained At Stork Shower Mrs. Peggy R. Shearin was entertained at a floating stork shower on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 24 p. m. at the Warren Plains United Methodist Church. Upon arrival Mrs. Shearin was presented a gift of an infant car seat by the hostesses. Refreshments were served by the hostesses for the occasion: Mrs. Sarah Walker, Mrs. Debby Brannock, Miss Bonnie Johnston, Mrs. Louise Oakley, Mrs. Geraldyne Yancey and Miss Doris Williams. Philathea Class Has Gathering The V. L. Pendleton Philathea Class of the Warrenton Baptist Church met on Nov. 12 at 3 p. m. in the home of Mrs. Clyde Whitford, with Miss Loyce Blay lock serving as joint hostess. Upon arrival of the 15 members present, the hostesses served a sweet course. Mrs. Jack Groves, president, presided and called on Mrs. Elizabeth Rackley to open the meeting with prayer. The various commit tees gave reports of their activities. It was announced that the annual Christmas dinner will be at the Norlina Woman's Clubhouse on Dec. 9 at 7 p. m. Mrs. Louis V. S. Hut ton presented the program using selec tions from "The Gold Star Album." The theme, "A Christian's View of Thanks and Thankfulness," intro duced the Thanksgiving season.
