King who departed this life Dec. 1, 1984. A year has passed since you left us here, A year of missing your presence so dear. It's so different now since you went away Our home seems so lonely each night and day. The years we shared our lives here together Are memories more precious than gold A better mother you will never find, And a friend to the young and the old. A kind, gentle word and a loving smile, She had for everyone. So jolly and cheerful, a joy to be with She was filled with laughter and fun. We don't understand why you had to go, But God understands and someday we will know We know you are happy and free from all pain Your trails are all end ed, our loss is your gain. So we don't question God, he does all things well, And one day we too will go there to dwell. So look for us Mama, we're coming there, too What a grand reunion we'll have there with you.
